Leo Ward: Terra's Castle-builder

Leo Ward, revered for his boundless talent, is rightfully associated foremost with his Original Bluebird of Happiness, a beautiful glass bird that has charmed over 5 million people for the last 20 years. Visitors are invited to watch artisans gather hot glass from a 2,000 degree furnace and shape it into the famous bluebird - seven days a week, 9 to 5.

There is no one quite like Leo Ward. First a wordsmith, then glass artist, he went on to build a village called Terra from a modest 10 acres into a 130-acre hamlet that employs 30 and enchants thousands.

Ever the teacher, Leo coaches Terra glass artist Gary Carter.

It's not every husband who builds his wife a Terrarium to house her Endangered Species from Other Worlds. Guests delight in exploring this enchanted cave - and invariably squeal upon discovery of the sequestered "throne room."
